There is a formal ball going on, and I'm not getting caught dead being 'underdressed', as you call it. I'll need enough for two mechs. I'm looking for black fabric... And red and blue thread. But I'll make do if I must.

Perhaps for the best. All the ones I've been to have amounted to nothing more than shameless politicking; you look the right way, say the right things, and no one tears you apart for another few decacycles or so. Doesn't sound like something you would enjoy.

I can give you access to the Brigade's... Tools. There's a lab, near the space bridge: I keep a lot of scanning equipment there, usually under lock and key. [ Even more so since the convertor was confiscated. ] I can give you the code, should you need any of it.

Yes, it's mostly tools like that. Energy scanners, metal purity measuring, so on and so forth. They're not 'fun', they're important.

...And the roomba is also in there somewhere because it's easier than vacuuming the floor myself.

Unfortunately I believe that wouldn't put me in Security's good graces, and I would rather be considered law-abiding as long as possible.

Instead I'm going to simply make their life hell with as many tiny revisions as I need to make them want to give me the damn thing back.
