I say it to remind you that not all of us have supernatural healing abilities. And that certain people even refuse to be healed by any magical means.

Tony's a big boy, he can make his own decisions. All I can do is make sure he doesn't break his neck.

You're missing the point. Look, I can't tell Tony not to do something any more than you can, so the best I can do is look out for him.

I'm not sure either of us are on the same page as you when it comes to 'self-destructive ideas'. Also- if I didn't go along with his ideas he might just do things himself, you know.

He's more likely to let go of it if he doesn't have an audience - Or a partner in crime. You're only encouraging that behavior.

This is not about anything being anyone's fault. This is about your responsibility to be mindful of the fact that some of us can actually get hurt and die!

[ There is a sharp tone with this last part. A tone that sends a flicker of distorted static crawling over the screen. ]

No, it's not, because there ain't a damn day I don't think about that and nothing I wouldn't do to keep people from getting hurt or worse!

But you know what? That hasn't stopped Tony or Tommy or anyone from throwing themselves in harm's way to keep me from harm no matter how much I'd rather they didn't risk themselves for my metal butt.

I will hands down do the same for anyone here, and being more durable has nothing to do with it. So don't you think that I like getting hurt just because I can probably fix myself up again, or think that I haven't lost any fellow Guardians- good people, just because of what we are. [He forces a laugh.] Because believe it or not, we're not as immortal as you'd think.
