Never have I ever been in jail so many times in my life, at least so far as I can remember. Did I spend any jail time way back before Cayde-1? Who knows? Anyway, it was cute the first time. I figured it'd be something to check off the 'things I did on an alien planet'. There was no processing involved, all they did was ask my number or something and stick some funny little knob on me that kinda tingled, then stuck me in a holding cell. Not sure what the knobs do, I can pluck them right off.

So the first time I figured I'd behave, sit quiet, soak everything in. One of ours comes to spring me. I only recognized him from the brief chat we had about the new light that appeared outside of the city. Anyway- this kid! Talk about slick. I need to step up my game. Come on Cayde, you're getting soft. Here I thought all of us from Temba would be of the same mind, look out for each other and all that. This kid saw opportunity and took it, so now I owe him. So guess who's got himself a bodyguard position? At least it's not a full-time thing, and I told him straight up I wasn't looking forward to babysitting anyone.

I could be more upset, but I guess it's partially on me for letting my guard down. Well, at least this way I can keep an eye on him too. Not sure what he intends to play at, but I don't know if he has the better interests of people at heart.
